Northamptonshire Police detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the discovery of a woman's body, which contained ten packs of cocaine, found at the side of the M45 motorway in Northamptonshire, England.
The woman, whose body was found by
workman on a grass verge at the side of the
westbound carriageway of the M45 at 11am on Wednesday 10 April 2002 remains unidentified, despite a national TV appeal on the 'Crimewatch U.K.' programme.
The artist's impression of the woman was shown on the programme together with the distinctive clothing that she was wearing.
The Clothing included a flimsy orange floral top with a Tom Bowker label inside. It has been established that
there were only ever ten of these tops made in a
size 16; which was the sze she was wearing.
Two of these tops were sold by Harrods, five in shops in Britain and three were sold in shops abroad.
Detective Superintendent Chris Cross, who was leading the investigation said the woman's top was very very distinctive and it is interesting that
there were only ever ten of this particular size
made. The artist's impression is also a
good likeness and we are hoping someone will
recognise her and be able to tell us who she is
and how she came to be at the side of the M45
in Northamptonshire.
